We understand that bands and musicians looking for gigs would like to post an announcement here. Presumably, everyone listed in SCL is looking for gigs. Our volunteers don't have time to maintain a message board for those types of announcements. Space Coast Live Music Calendar, founded in 2001 to help local musicians, has always been a free service.

Lead/Rythm Guitarist who wants to collaborate on a soft rock band project with a semi-retired keyboard/bass/vocalist. The intent is NOT to rely solely on this to make a living, but to establish a working relationship that creates good music to share with the public once in awhile through different venues. Guitar Player/Vocals seeks above musicians (Drums, Bass, Keys) with above-average skills and below-average goals. Would like to get together once/week to keep the chops up and the neurons firing. Don't care if we ever see daylight; I just want to play good music and make good use of my Saturday afternoons. Rock, Prog Rock, Instrumental Funk, etc. Music bordering on the unplayable/unlistenable, yet fun for idiot players who don't have the stomach to play Free Bird and Red House to 3 drunks with 2 teeth at 4 AM. Bands like Steely Dan, Umphrey's McGee, Jeff Beck, Cake all come to mind. Obviusly, this is a very schizo idea. So if this makes perfect sense to you also, and you don't mind working one day a week on a project that'll never get off the ground, then you definitely need in on this disaster just waiting to happen!

Ok here it is plain and simple, I am a 50 something rythym/lead guitarist looking for a local working or near working Classic Rock/Blues band. I have 42 years of playing experience behind me. But I am old school, I play music from the 60s and 70s, back when they knew how to write good rock songs. Not the kind of so called rock n roll songs they write these days. My musicial influences include, but are not limited to: Deep Purple, Molly Hatchett, Montrose, Foghat, Nazareth, ect. I am hopeful that some of the old rockers like me are not yet extinct. I would like to be in a band that doesnt do the same old bar room standard songs that everybody else does. I dont do Country or Rap, so dont even ask. I am a non drinker, non smoker, and serious about my music. So if I sound like someone who you think could help your cause, shoot me an email or a call.
