| SCL Says : You've Got MAPS!

A new feature has been added to SCL, the result of a lot of hard work by Craig Stevens and Warren Dodd, culminating in a constantly updated geographical display of Space Coast venues hosting live music on a given date. In other words, you'll see a map of the SCL service area, with the locations of all the SCL venues who are hosting live music that day flagged on the map. If you click on the flag, the event information will be displayed.
You'll be able to see what's nearby to your home. Or you can plan a road-trip, daisy-chaining from one venue to another. AND Wait- There's More! You can select a favorite band and see a map showing where their upcoming gigs are, so you can plan where to catch their show. You'll be able to zoom in/out, see road names, etc. Folks, this is really cool stuff - you are going to love it!
Craig Stevens is a local musician and Webster University student who proposed this project to SCL two months ago, and worked with Warren to bring it to life. For Craig, it is a matriculation requirement for his Masters in Computer Science degree, demonstrating knowledge acquired as a student at Webster. For Warren and myself, it is a much-appreciated enhancement of the SCL site. And for you, my friends, it is a tool that will help you plan your trips and find your music, and will help promote the bands that provide that entertainment and the venues that hire and host those musicians. Talk about a Win-Win-Win situation!
I've had people tell me they've never seen another site quite like SCL. Now that the SCL-MAPS feature is up, they'll have even more reason to say that. Thank you, Craig and Warren!
